Wedding decoration prices in Nouakchott: favours, table service and stands

"Decoration" is not a single line item. If you ask what it costs you will get a meaningless number, because what is actually sold is seven different services priced in different ways: per piece, per head, and per single large item. The price range

Prices run from 50 to 12,000 MRU, with the middle half between 900 and 3,625 and a median of 2,400. The figures come from 76 listings offered by 12 providers — the largest category on the platform.

But the median is more misleading here than anywhere else, because it mixes a 50 MRU guest favour with a complete 8,000 stand. Read the next section before budgeting from it.

Guest favours are priced per piece — and this is where the money goes

This is the most important point on the page. Favours are sold per item:

• 50 MRU: keepsake gifts, electronic finger tasbih, sweets, takbra.
• 80 to 120: perfumes and lip balm, flowers and glass pieces, mirrors, incense burners.
• 150 to 200: wedding card, scented favours, pocket mirror with cream.
• 1,200: premium scented favours.

The sum that surprises everyone: 200 guests × 100 MRU per piece = 20,000 MRU — more than eight times the category median. Favours are not a small item; they scale with your guest count.

Always multiply the unit price by your guest count before agreeing.

Table service is priced per head — and the rate is strikingly consistent

Service (dressing the hospitality tables) is sold by number of people, and the figures are consistent enough to make the maths easy:

• Service for 10 at 1,000, service for 24 at 2,400, service for 25 at 2,500, service for 30 at 3,000.
• That is 100 MRU per person across most offers, with a few at 130 and 140.

Large pieces are priced per item

These are sold as a single object, unrelated to guest count:

• The stand: from 1,500 for a simple stand to 8,000 for the largest offered. Premium and modern stands sit at 5,000; the screen stand and glass stand at 5,500.
• The banner: 2,000 for a welcome banner, 2,500 for the entrance and Barbie banners, 5,500 for the banner-stand.
