Honeymoon from Nouakchott: destinations, prices and where to stay

Right after the wedding comes the next decision: travel, or stay in Nouakchott? Both are available, and the cost difference is large. These figures come from offers actually published on Umsiyeti.

Travelling: Turkey packages from Nouakchott

The only destination currently offered is Turkey, and both trips depart directly from Nouakchott. Both run 10 days and 9 nights.

• Golden Honeymoon — Istanbul and Sapanca: from 78,500 MRU, flights included.
• Green Honeymoon — Istanbul and Trabzon: from 90,500 MRU, flights and accommodation included.

What explains the 12,000 gap?

The two packages match on duration and departure point; the difference is accommodation: the green one includes it, the golden one does not.

If you compare the two numbers alone you will pick the cheaper one, then pay for the hotel separately. Count the accommodation before comparing.

What neither includes: meals, visa and insurance. Three items you must estimate yourself on top of the listed price.

Staying in Nouakchott

If time or budget do not allow travel, there are hotels in Nouakchott set up for a honeymoon stay.

An important note: hotels are listed on the platform with their name and star rating, but with no published price. The rate is requested from the hotel directly and cannot be compared in advance the way travel packages can.

• What is the minimum number of travellers for the price to hold?

One tip

Book the honeymoon once the wedding date is finally fixed, not before. Changing flight tickets costs far more than changing any other booking.
